You are needing to prepare for your friends family and overnight guess.
Ok don’t get overwhelmed, I have a couple of simplified solutions for you this season.
Some of the main focal points and areas that are used the most in your home are, your kitchen pantry, restroom and linen closet.
Let’s first start with the kitchen pantry, especially if you will be hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
Starting with a checklist for your kitchen pantry.
Here are the following items to get started:
You will need labels.
Plastic stackable containers, that can be used for pasta, nuts, cookies and so forth.
Clear magazine holders to store food.
Wire baskets for things like cereal boxes, large chip bags, and paper towels.
Wire bins to keep your can goods organized this looks so neat and tidy.
Candy jar containers for additional storage, just picture the different colors of jelly beans, or the nice smell aroma from coffee beans in the container.
Now, if you would rather not place your household items under the sink, use additional plastic bins with lids place in the far corner of your pantry. For example your sos pads, dishwashing tablets, magic erasers which I love ! I can literally write a whole blog post about what all you can clean with magic erasers! So let me stay on task and move on .
Secondly, pick up some inexpensive dividers, small bins are very useful under your bathroom sink . You can even make it fun and color coordinate each bin, take the stress out. Remember to always keep your toilet paper separate.
For additional room, use pull out shelves under the sink. Focus more so on compartments.
Lastly, your beautiful linen closet with the warm quilts, threaded bed sheets, pillowcases, plush towels, and wonderful liquid soap fragrance.
I love a linen closet that has the wicker or woven baskets on the shelves with bath towels rolled up, hand towels neatly folded, bath rugs color coordinated and placed on the shelves. Yes! You can do this, shelf by shelf.
Start with the things you need:
Wicker baskets for your hand towels and bath towels.
These will be used for your pillowcases, folded neatly and placed in magazine the holder. You can also store liquid soaps, shampoo, conditioners and so forth.
Door Pantry Shelf, If you just happened, to be running low on space you might want to consider purchasing a door pantry for additional items.
Decorated Ribbons, these would be used for the quilts, bedding and larger comforters. The best way to save room is to roll these up and place the beautiful ribbon around them . If all possible use the top shelf to store these items.
Larger wicker or woven baskets for those extra pillows to store away. I would place these baskets on the bottom shelf.
You are all set now, take it shelf by shelf just say the words simplify, simplify, simplify.
