You should clean your washing machine at least once a month.
The best ingredients to use to clean your washing machine are:
2-cups of Heinz White distilled vinegar
1/2 cup of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.
If you have build up, I suggest using an enzyme cleaner (Biokleen). You can run this cleaner with HOT water and use a large load with an extra rinse cycle. *This product is a must have.* Biokleen Bac-Out Stain+Odor Remover.
After the wash cycle is complete, rub a microfiber towel around the opening of the machine to remove residue.
Try to remember after every wash cycle, leave lid open to allow moisture to circulate out. This will help prevent that sour odor.
I would like to suggest this product (Biokleen) if you have sweaty gym clothes, potty training accidents, and food stains. You can use it as a freshener for your mattress, couch cushions, bed linen, and even urine odor. Best of all, it’s a toxic free cleaner. This is a must have product!
So fresh and so clean!
Until next time, make it a good day!
Did you know you can clean so many things with a magic eraser? Just as simple as cleaning your sink and getting those coffee stains out.
Or even removing dust build up from your baseboards. Or cleaning soap scum residue from your shower. Having challenges removing crayon marks from walls?well that magic eraser will do the trick! It’s also great cleaning the inside of your refrigerator. So many amazing uses.
But, did you know that a magic eraser can also remove red stains from Tupperware? This is just a simple item but powerful, at the same time! My suggestion to you is to stock up now, especially during the holiday season. Oh, did I mention that they are great to use, cleaning pots and pans with a little sprinkle of baking soda? I can go on and on about this wonderful item that works wonders!
Here are the items you will need, to remove red stains from tupperware containers:
Sprinkle baking soda in container
Apply water onto your magic eraser
Now apply the magic eraser and rub in circular motion making sure you are getting the baking soda into the magic eraser.
You are needing to prepare for your friends family and overnight guess.
Ok don’t get overwhelmed, I have a couple of simplified solutions for you this season.
Some of the main focal points and areas that are used the most in your home are, your kitchen pantry, restroom and linen closet.
Let’s first start with the kitchen pantry, especially if you will be hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
Starting with a checklist for your kitchen pantry.
Here are the following items to get started:
You will need labels.
Plastic stackable containers, that can be used for pasta, nuts, cookies and so forth.
Clear magazine holders to store food.
Wire baskets for things like cereal boxes, large chip bags, and paper towels.
Wire bins to keep your can goods organized this looks so neat and tidy.
Candy jar containers for additional storage, just picture the different colors of jelly beans, or the nice smell aroma from coffee beans in the container.
Now, if you would rather not place your household items under the sink, use additional plastic bins with lids place in the far corner of your pantry. For example your sos pads, dishwashing tablets, magic erasers which I love ! I can literally write a whole blog post about what all you can clean with magic erasers! So let me stay on task and move on .
Secondly, pick up some inexpensive dividers, small bins are very useful under your bathroom sink . You can even make it fun and color coordinate each bin, take the stress out. Remember to always keep your toilet paper separate.
For additional room, use pull out shelves under the sink. Focus more so on compartments.
Lastly, your beautiful linen closet with the warm quilts, threaded bed sheets, pillowcases, plush towels, and wonderful liquid soap fragrance.
I love a linen closet that has the wicker or woven baskets on the shelves with bath towels rolled up, hand towels neatly folded, bath rugs color coordinated and placed on the shelves. Yes! You can do this, shelf by shelf.
Start with the things you need:
Wicker baskets for your hand towels and bath towels.
These will be used for your pillowcases, folded neatly and placed in magazine the holder. You can also store liquid soaps, shampoo, conditioners and so forth.
Door Pantry Shelf, If you just happened, to be running low on space you might want to consider purchasing a door pantry for additional items.
Decorated Ribbons, these would be used for the quilts, bedding and larger comforters. The best way to save room is to roll these up and place the beautiful ribbon around them . If all possible use the top shelf to store these items.
Larger wicker or woven baskets for those extra pillows to store away. I would place these baskets on the bottom shelf.
You are all set now, take it shelf by shelf just say the words simplify, simplify, simplify.
I have some great tips for you from cleaning coffee spills to using coffee beans as a decor piece!
Removing Coffee Stains
Has this ever happened , you are in the break room at work and you just accidentally spilled coffee on your shirt ? Well, you probably will need another shirt, because I have a solution, you will need a sponge, vinegar and cold water.
So you will need to create a mixture of 2 cups of cold water to a half teaspoon of vinegar. Gently apply mixture with sponge or cloth. Wash as normal and dry as desired.
Is your coffee not tasting fresh?
This issue could be from not getting your coffee maker properly cleaned . Here is a simple solution for that, all you need are two ingredients, water and vinegar.
You will need to pour 2:1 vinegar to water ratio into your coffeemaker and run a normal brew cycle. If you use this tip and clean every 2-3 months this should ensure the best tasting coffee !

Taking preventative steps to eliminate bacteria is very important this season.
These are 4 things we sometimes take for granted and overlook, as it pertains to where bacteria is found. Take a look below and take the proper steps to keep your surroundings disinfected… which may help keep you and your family from getting sick this season!
#1. Door Knobs
Door knobs are a hotspot for germs and viruses.
It’s so common to open a door, without thinking about how many people touch door knobs. Just think about it, how many people go in and out of a gas station, resturant, restrooms, clothing store, your place of employment. Yeah, are you thinking what I am thinking, “yuck!” Ok well, let’s not stop there, another item we take for granted and most of us simply can’t go without.
#2 Smartphone device
Can you remember when was the last time, you cleaned your smart phone device? Some studies have found that individuals type, click and swipe over 2,600 times a day. So this means your smartphone is a breeding ground for bacteria. Cleaning your smart phone device is worth taking the time out to sanitize it. I personal clean my smart phone device with a Clorox wipe. That’s just me, before you sanitize your smart phone device, check your manufacturers instructions on the proper way to clean it.
#3 Remote Control
Well, if you have a tv, there is a remote near. Guess what, I will be the first to say I AM GULITY !
Yes, I have been guilty of being one of the many people who eats while watching T.V. and in doing that, it comes with pressing remote control keys. Well guess what, your fingers are potentially transferring germs onto the food you eat as well as the remote control. This gives bacteria a field day! Here is a solution to prevent becoming vulnerable to sickness. You can do this by simply keeping Clorox wipes close by and wiping the remote control on a regular basis.
#4 Steering Wheel
Lastly, if you drive any type of vehicle and you are not, I repeat, you are not wiping your steering wheel, this will make you reconsider. You are potentially opening yourself up to about 700 types of bacteria. It’s so habit forming to just jump in the car and drive without thinking twice. Now that you are aware of the potential bacteria, you can do your do diligence with the proper ways to sanitize .
The two main things that I keep on hand with me to Eliminate Bacteria: hand sanitizers and Clorox wipes.
Until next time can I get you to say three times SANITIZE, SANITIZE, SANITIZE
