Why do I have a preference using Microfiber cleaning towels than cotton towels.
Here are a few reasons why microfiber cloths are a great source to clean offices, commercial properties, appliances, mirrors, furniture, and residential properties.
3 Key Factors why I prefer microfiber towels rather than cotton towels
1-Microfiber cloths and mops clean more efficiently.
2- These towels don’t leave lint behind
3- Use cloths up to five hundred times
You wouldn’t believe this if I told you a secret, these cloths can be reused five hundred times, before being replaced verses a cotton cloths or mop heads.
Have you ever gotten irritated when a cleaning cloth leaves lint behind?
I’ve discovered when using microfiber cloths, they don’t leave that pesky lint everywhere. This is a huge plus for me, I don’t know about you but, they are great with picking up the smallest particles of dust.
Another fact, they can be used up to five hundred times before being replaced. Now that’s a lot of cleanings and clearly saves a lot of time and money.
I have provided a list of ten items that I use microfiber cloths to clean:
When thinking about Spring cleaning some of our thoughts tend to focus on whether it should be more of a home-related task. We open the windows, let the crisp clean air flow in on the first warm day of spring and start the deep cleaning. However, the question is, should this also apply to your office building or commercial property? Did you know having a clean workplace can help increase productivity and morale?
Requesting a Spring-cleaning service with a professional janitorial team can often be the most convenient and efficient method of deep cleaning for a commercial property.
Spruce up your building’s look for a healthy and refreshed environment.
I have provided a brief checklist of an ultimate commercial spring-cleaning service:
•Request employees remove or box up their items for a certain time period, so areas can be fully cleaned around their desks and workspaces.
• Dust and wash the drapes and blinds.
•Wipe down all desks with sanitizing solution
• Clean the underside of desks.
• Post hand washing signs throughout the bathroom to encourage cleanliness.
• Disinfect all counter surfaces
• Refrigerator handles

Are you spending your whole day cleaning on Saturday? Does cleaning feel more like a project lately?
Do you remember as a kid you would dread waking up on the weekend because you would have to spend half the day cleaning? Could the headache of what comes with cleanliness be the reason some people hate it so much? People have been waking up on Saturday morning to clean for years.
I took it upon myself just out of curiosity and asked a few people how much time they were spending cleaning specifically on the weekend. I was a little surprised at the number of hours I was given, some said anywhere from 6 to 8 hours. My first thought was how frustrating that could be for anyone.
Here’s a solution to minimize a 6-8-hour cleaning day on a Saturday:
Candy’s Clean Tip task schedule:
I will begin with color coordinating your calendar with days of the week.
Give yourself Friday off, let’s call that Free Friday!
This task schedule with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday will allow you to get things done daily while only spending an hour at the most on cleaning,
Remember you have Friday’s free.
*Saturday *Monday *Thursday
Floor and laundry days, swifter floors and vacuum
Some Wash cycle takes 30 to 45 mins so you can wash one load over those 3 days.
While wash cycle is running swifter/mop your floors.
Monday – Lets use an (orange highlighter) on your calendar for this day. You are starting the week on Mondays which are your light days. Wash your delicate on Monday. While the wash cycle is going just go around your floor areas with a dry swifter. This should pull up mild dust from floors.
Thursday all your towels and linen should be washed use a (yellow highlighter) on the calendar, which will indicate your light-colored wash days. While your towels and linen are in the wash cycle. This would be good to go ahead and mop or wet swifter your floors.
Saturday will prepare you for the beginning of the week. Wash your colored clothes uniforms, work, or school clothes. For Saturday use a (blue highlighter) on your calendar. While the wash cycle is going proceed to vacuum floors on this day.
*Tuesday & Sunday
Dusting & Bathrooms
Ok now we can’t forget about the bathrooms and dusting living areas. These days will be on Tuesday and Sunday, you will lightly dust living areas, bedrooms, family room etc. and clean bathrooms.
Use a (green highlighter) for these days on your calendar.
I recommend this product for your bathroom showers, which will eliminate scrubbing or wiping down.
Tilex Daily Shower Cleaner
This product is a win win!!! Just spray down no rinse or wiping and keep moving.
This prevents build up from soap scum, hard water deposits, and mildew stains.
Spraying down your shower and tub daily will help tremendously with this product.
Proceed to wipe down sink and bathroom counters and spray your mirrors.
Lightly dust your living areas which would be bedrooms, family room, dining area, etc. Swifter dusters are great for lightly dusting.
Follow the same step on Sunday
Pick UP & Purge Day
Wednesday will be your pick up and purge day. Use a (pink highlighter) for these days on your calendar.
Pick up shoes maybe that’s been in the hallway or laundry room. Pick up clothes that were tossed from your closet onto your Lounge chair, etc.
Remove old items from your refrigerator, this will keep your refrigerator smelling better if this is done on a weekly basis.
While you are removing items wash out any containers that had food or liquids in them.
Daily wash dishes or place in dishwasher to be washed.
I have also added cleaning the other items on a monthly basis which I would suggestion your monthly tasks to do on Wednesday, if you would like to stretch it out on a weekly Wednesday. You’re still going to pick up and purge but add one of the tasks each week.
Remember, you have Friday off and no more cleaning all day on Saturdays!
So fresh and so clean!! Until next time Make it a great day!!!

Being proactive during Flu Season
It’s that time of year when people are getting sick with the flu. Let’s be honest, you can’t walk around with a hazmat uniform on. This year let’s bring awareness and be proactive on ways to prevent it from spreading and making others sick.
Take a look around, if you are in your home or office you will see light switches, door knobs and many items that are touched on a regular basis that can spread germs. If you are in your office at your job, I’m sure by now there have been numerous call outs. Are you feeling like you need to take a can of Lysol, and just start walking through the office and spraying everything in sight?
Just hold tight, we will begin with your home and we work our way to your office.
Have you done these key things to prevent the spreading of germs?
• Washed bed linen
• Wiped down laundry room surfaces
• Wiped down light switches
• Wiped down door knobs
• Wiped the handle of the refrigerator / kitchen surfaces
• Wiped the stove oven knobs
• Wiped the microwave handled
• Wiped the tv remote control
• Wiped your smartphone device
• Wiped your garage remote
• Wiped down closet door handles
• Wiped down your cabinet handles
• Wiped down toilet handles
• Wiped down restroom surfaces
• Wiped down your computer mouse/ keyboard
If you haven’t wiped down any of these surfaces, I strongly suggest that you do so immediately. Taking Preventative measures in your home is vital during flu season.
The office/place of employment
Most companies have a cleaning service hired to clean after hours.
During the day, these things are being touched that could be potentially spreading germs.
• Copy machine or printer
• Coffee maker
• Refrigerator handle
• Door knobs
• Light switches
• Candy bowls
• Vending machines
• Water fountains
• Keyboards / mouse
• Tv remote controls
• Office telephones
• Smart phone devices
• Sign in chart /pens
Let’s say you decide to leave your office to grab lunch, What’s the first thing you do when you sit down? Do you grab your hand sanitizer and put it on, or pick up a menu? Do you pick up the menu that has been given to you by the host or waitress?
The best way to do this and not offend the host or waitress is to put your hand sanitizer on first, wait until the waitress walks off and pull out your Clorox wipes and wipe the menu off. It sounds very dramatic however, If I am out with my family, we all know what to do. When I am out with friends they are just like my family and know the drill. They will look at me and wait until I pass around the Clorox wipes and proceed to wipe down the menu. You would be surprised at the number of germs that are left on a menu due to the frequent passing of hands on a daily basis.
This year let’s be proactive by staying sanitary and keeping ourselves and others safe and healthy!!!
Items you can use to stay healthy:
• Lysol spray in a large or travel size can
• Clorox wipes / also in travel size
• Hand sanitizers
So fresh and so clean ! Until next time make it a great day !
Don’t you hate when you purchase an item and the sticker price doesn’t glide off as you’re peeling it back?
What about when you’re buying a gift for a wedding, baby shower, or birthday gift and that sticky label is once again giving you a hard time? Let’s just be honest, everyone loves a good bargain, right? Especially in the case when you purchased a gift and got it on clearance for half off and you really don’t want the individual to think you are
Have you ever just had the worse come apart, chipping your nails all from trying to scratch the sticky label off? Yes, literally pulling your hair out over a sticky label?
Well, I believe I have a solution for you, it’s not nail polish remover as some might think.
It’s very important to be careful when using nail polish remover, some brands contain acetone which will melt plastic.
You are going to be blown away when I tell you that the solution to your problem
is an item you more than likely have in your pantry closet, Peanut Butter!!!
Yes, Peanut butter contains oils that will break down most adhesives.
Directions to remove the sticky label:
Place the peanut butter over and around the sticky label and simply rub off with a cloth.
So fresh and so clean ! Make it a great day #CANDYSCLEANTIPS
When I was a child growing up, my sister and I being four years apart, spent a lot of time playing outside. We played on rocks, concrete, in the grass played in other neighbors’ yards you name it we did it, LOL!!
It never failed, one of us would need this one specific item after a long day of playing outside. Can you guess what it was? Hydrogen Peroxide. Because we were inquisitive girls who loved exploring as children, our parents kept plenty of hydrogen peroxide around the house for minor scrapes, and cuts.
Let’s Fast forward to today, we have more individuals that like to use more green cleaning products than those that contain harsh chemicals.
I don’t want to procrastinate any longer, I am going to let you in on a secret that will allow you to can clean under a $3.00 budget!
Yes, cleaning your home using only a $3.00 budget. These areas include anywhere in your home from the kitchen sink to your bathroom, even washing your white clothes without using bleach.
That secret item is Hydrogen Peroxide!!!
You can clean tons of items such as kitchen cutting boards, kitchen surfaces white clothes, make up brushes, shower curtains and so much more.
First let’s start with this key fact, KILLING MOLD and eliminating mildew.
You can kill mold with hydrogen peroxide, however, please be aware it doesn’t remove the mold stains. You would need to follow through with a deep clean to remove mold stains.
This is a natural way of cleaning and at the same time disinfecting things in your home or office.
You can use this item to clean out toilets, simply pour a small amount and allow to sit 30 mins clean and flush.
This item is also great for cleaning your kitchen cutting boards.
More areas you can use in the kitchen would be on kitchen surfaces, countertops, inside of refrigerator and your dishwasher.
Just use a spray bottle fill half with water and a cap full of hydrogen peroxide.
You can spray down the kitchen sink, and countertop surfaces.
Remove items from your refrigerator spray inside and wipe down.
You can use this item as a rinse in your dishwasher as well just use a cap full and proceed with regular wash.
Now this cleaning tip will raise your eyebrows! You can clean your make- up brushes, using only about 3% hydrogen peroxide and water, soak your brushes for 15 mins and rinse out.
If you have ran out of bleach and already filled the washer up with your whites,
I have a tip for you Peroxide! Yes, you can brighten your clothes with this item. Just use 1- cup of hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach allowing 20-30 mins soaking time.
Please don’t use hydrogen peroxide on colored clothes.
Now this is what I call cleaning on a budget, all under $3.00! Can you say winning?
So fresh and so clean! Until next time make today a good day!
Please be aware!!! Sponges have the potential to pick up bacteria like salmonella, ecoli and staphylococcus, due to the porous nature and water soaking capacity. A sponge can contain up to 54 billion bacterial cells.
There also have been studies to show around 56,000 people are sickened by food bourne illnesses each year in the U.S.
Can you say yikes! Well, now that I have grossed you out, please don’t have a come apart . You might ask, “what can I use if I can’t use a sponge?”
Here are some of the following items:
1- Microfiber Cloths
Amazon Basics microfiber cleaning cloth 24 pack.
I like these cloths, because they are colored coated and reduce cross contamination.
You can order a 24 pack from Amazon for $12.81.
2- Dish Brush
(Oxo Good Grips Dish Brush)
I generally rather use a dish brush with getting those stubborn areas, when cleaning pots and pans. You can get this particular brush for $4.99 from Amazon.
3. Whatever you do, please DO NOT warm your sponge up in the microwave with bleach, assuming you are killing the bacteria off the sponge.
It only kills 60% of all bacteria off the sponge.
If you have wiped your surfaces down with your sponge after you have prepared raw chicken, I urge you to please by all means throw sponge away! I promise you will thank me later!
4. If you just have to use a sponge by all means, please change it out weekly .
Clean out with bleach water, allowing 24 hours to dry out .
There you have it! So fresh and clean. Until next time make it a good day!
What happens when your toddler gets bored and decides to make their first painting on your wall with crayons?
First, take a picture! You may want this painting as a keepsake.
Next, scrub away the marks on your wall. To do this, simply make a 50/50 paste of baking soda and water and find any scuff marks or crayon art on your painted wall. Gently rub in and wipe away. You’ll see the marks disappear instantly!
Items you need:
1. Baking Soda
(Arm & Hammer is my favorite baking soda)
2. Bowl of water
3. Microfiber towel
There you have it so fresh and clean! Until next time, make it a good day! #CandysCleanTips
You should clean your washing machine at least once a month.
The best ingredients to use to clean your washing machine are:
2-cups of Heinz White distilled vinegar
1/2 cup of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.
If you have build up, I suggest using an enzyme cleaner (Biokleen). You can run this cleaner with HOT water and use a large load with an extra rinse cycle. *This product is a must have.* Biokleen Bac-Out Stain+Odor Remover.
After the wash cycle is complete, rub a microfiber towel around the opening of the machine to remove residue.
Try to remember after every wash cycle, leave lid open to allow moisture to circulate out. This will help prevent that sour odor.
I would like to suggest this product (Biokleen) if you have sweaty gym clothes, potty training accidents, and food stains. You can use it as a freshener for your mattress, couch cushions, bed linen, and even urine odor. Best of all, it’s a toxic free cleaner. This is a must have product!
So fresh and so clean!
Until next time, make it a good day!
